Speaking of Rebranding…

My colleague, Lukasz, brought up his antipathy for the new Pepsi can. I side with his preference for the old design. But his post made me think about a redesign that works.

A few months back, The Atlantic, a literary and cultural publication, redesigned its print magazine and Web design. They’re both engaging, but what’s most interesting is its marketing department’s series of banner ads:

In a time where deep thoughts are seemingly isolated to lecture halls, The Atlantic challenges that assumption by advertising on muffins. They’re illuminating the need for big questions. The campaign certainly makes you stop and think. Again.
