McDonough Associates, a full-service architectural and engineering firm well known for its road and bridge construction projects but lesser known for its architectural and environmental work, wanted sales and marketing materials to showcase other capabilities.

Canright researched the firm and its specialties through in-person meetings and interviews with the leads in each of the firm’s areas of expertise. Based on information from the interviews, Canright suggested four key words for McDonough: Collaborate, Respond, Solve, Deliver. Given the firm’s iconic projects, such as Millennium Park and both Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports, Canright emphasized the pictures as a powerful means of telling the story of the company’s work.
